What you should know about Carnival’s newest ship, the Carnival Jubilee.
Fans of Carnival cruises have a new addition to anticipate in 2023 – the Carnival Jubilee. This incredible ship will have two specialty zones called the Currents and the Shores. Currents is an underwater-themed area that will immerse guests in an illusion of being submerged in a deep coral reef. This illusion is all possible due to 6 large LED windows that showcase videos of underwater scenes alongside a wavy LED ceiling display that resembles walking through an aquarium tunnel. Within Currents, you can visit an underwater themed bar called Dr. Inks. Throughout this bar you can see touches of whimsy and fantasy everywhere, from golden octopus tentacles holding up the bar’s awning to beach items shown on display in clear terrariums. The drinks reflect this whimsy with color-changing cocktails, boozy Boba pearls, and seafoam garnishes. In Currents, you can also visit the Golden Mermaid, a glitzy golden bar with touches of turquoise in the velvet seats and floor tiles for a nautical Gatsby-esque drinking experience. The ship’s second specialty is the Shores, which embraces the charm and fun of oceanside boardwalks. Here, you can enjoy marina-inspired food stands serving hot dogs and pizza, then sit under a Ferris wheel inspired ceiling while you enjoy the ocean view.
